A Provencal village
Lorgues is a medieval village of pretty alleyways and squares, located at the heart of Provence, in an undulating landscape covered with pines, olive trees and vines.
Its history goes back to 1421 and the foundation of the Collegiale Saint Martin, one of Provence’s great churches.
This was later joined by several convents and other religious establishments. One was formerly the summer residence of the bishop of Frejus, and is now the Villa de Lorgues.
